The chain of department stores Havan is the new sponsor of the pilot Nelson Piquet Jr. The partnership’s debut takes place this weekend, in the race that marks the second stage of the 2021 Stock Car season, at the Autodromo de Interlagos, in São Paulo.
This year, Piquet Jr. is part of a new professional project, MX Piquet Sports, which marks the return of Piquet Sports to the Brazilian tracks. Nelsinho was the first world champion in the history of Formula E, passed through F1 and also won three national Nascar divisions.
The pilot emphasizes how honored he feels about having Havan among his sponsors. “It’s an honor to run with the Havan brand on my car. I had the opportunity to meet Luciano Hang at the company’s headquarters and I was very impressed with his energy and business vision. It will be an additional responsibility to carry his brand and I hope to repay the trust he has placed in our project on the track.”
The support for Nelsinho Piquet in Stock Car is another brand initiative in favor of national sport. “Sponsoring is believing. We are very proud to link the Havan brand to this athlete who represents so much to motorsport history. In addition to being a pilot with a successful trajectory, Nelsinho represents the perpetuation of a legacy and a name that has already given so much joy to Brazilian people. We believe that together, Nelsinho, alongside Sergio Jimenez, who is already supported by us, will do a great job this season. We are very happy with the partnership,” says Havan’s New Business manager, Lucas Hang.
In 2021, Havan is investing more than R$30 million in sponsorships. In addition to motorsport, the retailer is present in sports such as football, boxing, volleyball, futsal, beach tennis, Paralympic categories, besides e-sport. It also supports artistic activities, such as supporting organizations that carry out cultural, theater and dance activities.
